To add repaints to this package, use the base texture folder as a starting point.

1. Create a copy of the included base texture folder and rename as instructed in the repaint package.
2. Copy the new textures to that folder. DO NOT ALLOW overwrites. Reply NO when asked.
3. Add the new [fltsim.x] section to the aircraft.cfg file incrementing the fltsim.x to the next higher number.
4. Enjoy

NOTES:
1. This base package is compatible with the many existing repaints for the Dash 7.
2. There are many new textures included to support the modifications and VC.
3. The flight model is all new and not compatible with the original version.
4. Most of the gauges are all new, XML based and engine management is somewhat different than the original.
5. The 2D panel and VC have automatically loaded TOL (Takeoff and Landing) charts loaded based on current weight. Use these vspeeds for TOL.
6. There is also a Vspeed chart over the pilot's/copilot's head on the outside VC wall/ceiling. Just pan around to view.
7. This model has both landing and taxi lights. Use landing lights only for landing. The taxi lights work nicely for taxi operations. Taxi speeds are best at 10-15 knots.
8. The Dash 7 does not just "fly off" the runway, you should "rotate" at the correct Vr speed and fly off. Use +2 to +2.6 trim.
9. The aircraft is forgiving on rough landings, by design. Don't be afraid to drop in over that tree obstacle at the end of the runway.
10. For best short field landings, use full flaps, spoilers (spoilers activated for flight), brakes and reversers, over the fence at about 90 knots. For extremely short takeoffs (<1200' rw), use full flaps, up trim at +3. Runways 1200' or longer, flaps 25 works fine.
11. The VC night lighting may be a bit bright for some tastes. You can move light.6 back to suit your taste.
12. Cockpit door in VC opens with cargo door command, shift+e, release then press 2 quickly.
13. Climb Power charts are located on the VC flight yokes. After initial climbout, set props to 1070, and follow torque settings on the charts.
14. The VC is so large and wide, you may enjoy the 75% zoom better. There are also lots of pop up panels to get closer views of the engine and primary gauges, GPS and ECU. These can be used in the VC mode as well.
15. For elevator trim readouts, if you use tooltips, just point at the trim wheel or trim indicator.
